That is the question my uncle, the serial entrepreneur, asked me when I mentioned I was writing this iPhone application.
He had done a search in the iTunes Store and found ~50 iPhone applications when searching for mileage log and well over 100 iPhone applications when searching for mileage.
So why did I write this mileage log for the iPhone?
It started with me writing Trackometer for runningmap.com another GPS enabled iPhone application.
I'm self employed and I live in northern-ish Canada. So keeping a mileage log with a frozen pen is problematic and I never had a pencil sharpener around when I needed one.
One day, while doing some testing with Trackometer, I realized that it wasn't far from being a mileage log. I asked an artsy/techy friend of mine for some graphics and Show Me the Mileage was born.
The nice thing is that even if I don't sell a lot of this iPhone application I have solved my own pain point.

Does it actually track where you go or use a start and ending point to map out the best route?
ReplyDeleteIf it actually tracks your drive, I will get it.
It actually tracks as you drive.
